DFB President: Neuendorf and Peters officially suggested
As the Peter Peters experienced from each other independent sources, the surprise has been perfect since this Sunday. Unlike in various statements announced, the 21 DFB national associations could not agree on a common candidate for the choice of future DFB president. Although as expected, the name of the Bernd Bettendorf, President of the Mittelrhein Football Association, has been submitted as expected as favorite. But: the Westfälische Football and Athletics Association (FLOW) also nominated Peter Peters, currently DFB interim president and still-supervisory board of DFL. And also explicitly Bettendorf. Two competing proposals so from one and the same association — which seems absurd to evaluate others as achievement in the sense of a democratic selection procedure.
Com banning candidacy with two different teams is programmed
Anyway: the much-fashioned unity of the amateur camp, which officially wanted to name Monday, November 15, a common candidate is there. After the situation of things is programmed at the Bundestag on March 11, 2022, a fight candidacy between Bettendorf and Peters programmed as well as consequently a secret choice. Until then, both should have placed a separate team on the legs, which is factual with the vote. Finally, the posts of the first vice president, the treasurer and the Secretary-General are new to occupy.
Peters should get support from the DFL
River now seems that Peters is likely to receive the support of DFL on the Bundestag. In any case, the previously expressed forecasts from the professional sector are to be interpreted in the event that Peters actually proposed by a national association. This was not held by many, of course, but has now occurred. Peters himself has always explained: he would run if he was proposed by a national association and receive the support of the profile camp. At least the first requirement is now fulfilled black on white.
